Dover Church to assemble mama kits

There are over 3,000 babies born each year at the St. Boniface Hospital in Fond-des-Blancs, Haiti? This hospital would be the second largest birthing hospital in Massachusetts, if it were located here.

At 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 14, The Dover Church will gather in its Kraft Hall to assemble new mama/new baby kits for the St. Boniface Hospital in Fond-des-Blancs, Haiti. Friends from the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation will share information about maternal health in Haiti. The community is welcomed to join the event.

Monetary donations are welcomed to help offset the cost of the kits; each kit costs approximately $20, and the Church hopes to assemble 300 of them. Donations can be make online via https://thedoverchurch.org/ministry/haiti-initiatives.

The Dover Church, an open and affirming congregation in the United Church of Christ, is located at 17 Springdale Avenue, Dover.
