Watching the devastation caused by the humanitarian crisis in Syria, and it’s natural to wonder if anything can be done to help Syrian refugees.

On Wednesday, March 7, at 7:00 p.m., Dover Unplugged is hosting an evening with Nadia Alawa, a New Hampshire woman who, with tenacity and a deep desire to make a difference, is providing aid and hope to thousands of displaced Syrians.

Ms. Alawa, founder of NuDay Syria, will speak about how the crisis in Syria is affecting the most vulnerable, especially women and children, and will share the ways NuDay Syria is working to improve their lives. After a PowerPoint presentation on her work, Ms. Alawa will answer questions and provide suggestions on how to support the humanitarian work of NuDay Syria. Light refreshments will be served.

This is a free event, though attendees are asked to consider bringing a can of evaporated milk or diapers for NuDay Syria’s next delivery to aid displaced Syrians in need. The presentation will be held in Fellowship Hall at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, 18 Springdale Avenue in Dover. RSVP at http://tiny.cc/nudaydover.
