DS musicians take state, district honors

On Saturday, January 28, several Dover-Sherborn Middle and High School students auditioned for the Massachusetts Music Educators Association Eastern District Junior Festival. The following students were selected to participate in the Festival on March 3-4 at Lincoln-Sudbury High School: (From Left to Right) Jordyn DeVellis - Mixed Chorus, Ashley Gong - Orchestra, Taylor Melenovsky - Mixed Chorus, Anna Davis - Treble Chorus, Jenna Eiten - Treble Chorus, and Devin Patel - Band.

Additionally, DS junior David Kennan was accepted into the Massachusetts Music Educators Association All-State Festival. David will play the clarinet in the All-State Symphonic Band with top student musicians from across the Commonwealth. The Festival will be held at the Sheraton Boston Hotel from March 9-11, with a culminating performance at Symphony Hall. Earlier this year, David represented Dover Sherborn at the MMEA Senior District Festival.
