On Sunday, March 6, a group of Medfield sixth graders collected donations for the Medfield Food Cupboard outside of Shaw’s Supermarket on Route 109.
The Medfield Community All-Stars were able to collect donations of food items as well as money that would support the Food Cupboard in its mission of ensuring that no Medfield family must go hungry.
Some of the items collected, which are much-needed at the Food Cupboard, were kid-friendly cereal, sweet and salty snacks, juice and juice boxes, peanut butter, canned tuna, pastas, and individually-packed fruit cups.
The Community All-Stars have worked together for the past few years to support Medfield charities. The group of sixth grade boys includes Chris Barrett, Colin Bligh, Ryan Costello, Ryan Dolan, Charlie Katsikaris, Caleb and Wesley Lawson, John Marcucci, Joe Regan, Max Sherman, Drew Stanton, Jack Stanton, and Aiden St. Mary.
According to a notice from the group, “They had a great time collecting and shopping for the Medfield Food Cupboard. The boys appreciate and give a big thank you to the Medfield Shaw’s Supermarket for its support.”
