The Medfield Pee Wee AA team earned the championship trophy at this past weekend’s Goblet Hockey Tournament in Foxboro by defeating Newton 3-2 in overtime in the final.
Sam Palmer scored the game-winning goal off a rebound from a shot from the point by Jackson McKersie. Palmer was named the tournament MVP.
McKersie and Palmer were joined by forwards James Wilder and Slater Franks on the All-Tournament Team and Jack Stanton was named Best Goalie.
With five wins in the tournament, the Pee Wee AA team is now 18-0 on the season.
Also in the Goblet Tournament this weekend, the Squirt A’s reached the championship game and took second place.
