The Walpole boys and girls basketball teams faced off against Norwood last Thursday at Norwood High. The boys fell to Norwood 50-42, and the girls lost with a final score of 58-50.

For the boys team, the game marked a deciding factor in which team would pick up the Herget title. In the end, Norwood picked up the title after their win. The Rebels were just one game away from winning the title.

The boys will be heading into the post season, as the team picked up its 10th win to qualify against Milton on February 2. The team will compete in the Walpole Hoop Classic on February 18 and 19, and faces Dedham and Bishop Feehan to close out the regular season.

For the girls, it is down to the wire as the team must win their next two games of the regular season to secure a spot in the postseason. The team will face Abington and Dartmouth on February 18, and closes out the regular season against Dedham on February 22.
