Mason Carlow, son of Tim and Meg Carlow, a Walpole resident and rising seventh grader at Blessed Sacrament School, was recently named a 2017 National Lacrosse All-Star and was selected to represent the state of Massachusetts and Team New England at the National Lacrosse Academy and Brine National Lacrosse Classic from July 18-21 in Richmond, Virginia.

The National Lacrosse Academy brings the top youth lacrosse players in the United States and Canada to one venue, where regional teams, coached by NCAA lacrosse coaches, compete for the 2017 national championship. The NLA was created to provide a curriculum focused on how a young lacrosse athlete should develop in order to compete at a top high school and collegiate lacrosse program.

Carlow is a member of the Walpole Youth U13 select team and the Laxachusetts 2023 team. Carlow and Team New England 2023-2024 fought valiantly, but fell to a pair of strong teams from Ohio (7-4) and Long Island (11-2) in Richmond.
