The friends and family of Tommy Quinn came together over the holiday season and held their annual bake sale at Rodman Arena on September 12.

The bake sale raised over $2,500 for the Make a Wish foundation, which will be donated to the non-profit organization in Tommy’s honor thanks to the Walpole community’s support.

Tommy was a freshman at Walpole High when he passed away from a brain tumor two years ago. The student was well loved in the Walpole community, who served in the Walpole High Student Council and was an honor roll student.

After the bake sale, the Quinn family released the following thank-you note to the community:

"On Saturday, December 12 at the Rodman Rink, the family and friends of Tommy Quinn held the third annual Bake Sale for the Make A Wish Foundation in loving memory of Tommy Quinn.

We would like to thank Rob Barletta and the Rodman Rink staff, as well as Watson’s Candies of Walpole, Wicked Good Cookies, BK Designs of Walpole, Christine’s Cookies, Dave Harrington/Dunkin Donuts, Day Street Sports, Farmer in the Dell and everyone who graciously donated baked goods and monetary contributions.

This year the fundraiser raised over $2,500 for the Make a Wish Foundation’s Massachusetts/Rhode Island chapter in Tommy’s memory.

It was a tremendous outpouring of generosity and is so greatly appreciated."
