Principal Stephen Imbusch of Walpole High School announced that Nirupa Abraham, Dana Demartino, Jessica Fitzgerald, Sylvia Lanni, Matthew Luongo, William Porter, and Katarina Ruda have been named Commended Students in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, was presented by the principal to these talented seniors.
