Over 170 Wellesley Historical Society members and guests gathered at the Wellesley Country Club on Thursday evening, June 7, for their annual fundraiser, A Spring Celebration. The dinner honored Joseph Grignaffini and family for their time-honored commitment and service to the town and the Wellesley Historical Society.
Acting President Jared Parker and Executive Director Amanda Fisher welcomed all. A silent auction of 29 items and antiques from the Toll House Shop stirred broad interest. Bidding was high for the live auction of eight items contributed by generous merchants and members. The auctions were conducted by Wellesley resident Mike Dowling. Honorary Director Tory DeFazio presented Joe with a gift of appreciation.
Society Curator Kathleen Fahey won support with bids for the popular "Fund an Archive" program.
