James Manzolini named RDF Superintendent

The Town of Wellesley has selected an experienced employee as its new Superintendent of the Recycling and Disposal Facility (RDF). James Manzolini will be taking over for Jeff Azano-Brown, who was promoted to the position of Department of Public Works Assistant Director earlier this year.

Manzolini has over twelve years of civil engineering experience and has been with the DPW’s Engineering Division since 2013, with his most recent role serving as civil engineer in charge of the Street Occupancy Permit Program. Previously, he was the owner and director of operations for a private moving company and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with a Minor in Business Administration from Northeastern University.

Manzolini takes over the RDF during a challenging time for the recycling industry due to restrictions from China. However, the RDF’s source separated model ensures that Wellesley’s material continues to be recycled at a high rate. As part of his new job, Manzolini will be working with Wellesley residents and the RDF team to look for ways to continue to grow the Town’s successful program.

James Manzolini can be reached at jmanzolini@wellesleyma.gov.
