Women’s rights musical to be performed

“We Did It For You! Women’s Journey Through History” is set to be performed at the Common Street Spiritual Center in Natick on December 10 at 4 p.m.

Written by Thea Iberall, "We Did It For You!" is a charming musical that tells of the struggles and triumphs women have undergone to get their basic rights in America. A high school student has a history project to figure out who has done the most for women of today, and she learns the answer from the women who were there. It is the ideal history lesson disguised as entertainment.

Irwin National Training Center gave the cast a standing ovation and shook the hands of each and every performer. Thousands of California high school and college students have seen it, and now it is being brought to Massachusetts.

HometownWeekly_IMG_1338“With catchy musical numbers, a dash of comic relief, and a huge history lesson on feminism, ‘We Did It For You!’ received an immensely positive reception from the Medfield audience,” Hometown Weekly’s Laura Drinan wrote of the musical’s performance at Medfield’s First Parish on August 26.

"We Did It for You!" will be performed on December 10 at 4 p.m. at the Common Street Spiritual Center, 13 Common Street, Natick. Tickets are $10, and may be purchased from www.wediditforyou.org.
