Youth lax holding Westwood Day shot contest

Westwood Youth Lacrosse is set to hold a Hot Shot contest at this year’s Westwood Day, September 29, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. All are welcomed to enter to compete.

Westwood Youth Lacrosse will have radar guns on hand to capture the speeds of contestants’ shots. The top three fastest shots in each grade K-8 will win a special “2018 Hot Shot” shooter shirt (and bragging rights, of course). Qualifying shots will need to be on goal.

Additionally, players’ parents will be on hand to answer questions about the youth lacrosse programs, including the upcoming spring season, as well as the new Little Laxers program.

Last but not least, local lasers are invited to bring their greasers (old balls whose surface has grown slick) to have them resurfaced to restore their grippy finish.

Westwood Youth Lacrosse’s booth will be next to the High School Multipurpose Field, near the lacrosse practice wall and outdoor basketball court (to your right when facing the multipurpose field from the parking lot). The Hot Shot contest will take place at the practice wall.
