On Sunday October 27, some of the state’s top youth flag football teams faced off to determine who would be the 2019 Bay State Super Bowl champions.
The Seahawks, a group of boys from Westwood, were able to outlast the Rams, a team from Wellesley, 7-6, in overtime in the NFC title game. The win advanced the Rams to the Super Bowl, where they took on a Milton team, the Falcons.
The Seahawks took home the Bay State title with a 14-0 victory. The win capped a second straight unbeaten season for the Seahawks and earned the Westwood boys their second straight Super Bowl title.
